Social class is not only determined by money, but also includes knowledge, taste (cultural capital) and connections (social capital). These capitals will be internalized into our "habits" - that is, unthinking patterns of thinking and behavior.
Careful cultivation vs natural growth
Annette LaRue found that middle-class parents tend to "carefully cultivate" and actively arrange extracurricular activities; while working-class parents tend to adopt "natural growth" and although they are given independent time, they are more likely to be passive when facing the system.
